Our loan portfolio in the sectors for retirement homes and nursing homes, assisted living, clinics and rehabilitation facilities now comprises around 300 properties with a business volume of around EURO 1 billion. For us, this development is both a stimulus and a challenge to be both a reliable partner for our current customers and for those who wish to do business with us in future.

Regional and national
Although Bremer Landesbank is at home on the coast we can offer our knowledge and experience in financing social care properties beyond the North Western region. As a competence centre of the Nord/LB Group our Bank is an experienced and reliable partner throughout Germany. From January 2008 Bremer Landesbank has been a partner for the 2008-2009 research phase in the "2020 Nursing Care Trend Study". This is a joint research project organized by the Fraunhofer Institute. The research project has dealt with issues around the current situation in nursing care in Germany and how this care will develop in future. In an association with service companies, manufacturers and institutions in the health/care sector, forward-looking strategies and concepts for nursing care for the future are being developed.
